Overhead Diving

Overhead diving

Overhead diving involves exploring environments where a direct ascent to the surface is blocked, such as caves, mines, or inside shipwrecks. These settings carry unique hazards and demand specialised training, appropriate equipment, and meticulous planning.

Divers need to manage their gas supply effectively, utilise guideline systems for navigation, and be ready to handle potential emergencies that may arise in these confined environments.

Tech Dive Asia offers Overhead environment training from the following agencies: TDI, PADI, SSI, RAID and IANTD

Cave diving

Cave diving is broken into three parts with many additional training options. these include:

  • Level 1 Cavern Diving
  • Level 2 Intro to Cave
  • Level 3 Full Cave
  • Trimix Cave
  • Cave CCR
  • Cave DPV
  • Staged Cave
  • Cave survey

four mine divers preparing t explore an unknown mine in Thailand

Mine Diving

Thailand has a deep-rooted mining history spanning several centuries, with key minerals including lead, tin, zinc, gold, and other heavy metals. While mine diving is a well-established activity across Europe, it has remained virtually unexplored in Thailand—until recently.

The first known efforts to explore submerged mines in the country began only a few years ago, when Tech Dive Asia team member Mikko Paasi started surveying abandoned, flooded mine sites.

As a result a full range of Mine diving courses are now available and new Mine Exploration activities are taking place.
