PADI have a full range of Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) courses covering all levels of diving available with the latest training material including:

PADI Recreational Rebreather Courses

There are three options with the PADI recreational courses

  • Rebreather Diver (18 meters)
  • Advanced Rebreather Diver (30 meters)
  • Combined Course (both courses combined)

Most people do the combined course but if you want one of the individual courses please contact us for details.

Combined Recreational Course

The combined course is a five day course that covers all aspects of diving a recreational rebreather often referred to as a Type-R rebreather. (PADI Type-R Rebreather Specifications)

  • Day 1 Classroom / workshop
  • Day 2 Workshop / pool
  • Day 3,4,5 Boat dives (3 dives per day)

PADI Tec40 CCR Course

The PADI Tec40 course is the equivalent to an MOD1 / Air Diluent Deco course. It is a 5 day course that covers the set up and operation of a Type-T rebreather and how to plan and execute technical rebreather dives to a maximum depth of 40 metres in conditions comparable to or better than those in which you are trained and have experience. Including No stop (no decompression) dives, or limited decompression dives (no more than a single required stop, maximum stop duration 10 minutes).

Student Prerequisites

  • Rescue Diver
  • Deep Diver
  • Nitrox Diver
  • 50 logged dives

PADI Tec60 CCR Diver Course

The PADI tec60 CCR diver course is the second course in PADI’s Technical CCR diver portfolio and is equivalent to MOD2 Mixed Gas courses.

Prerequisites

  • Be a Tec 40 CCR Diver qualified on the specific Type T CCR to be used in the course 
  • Have logged a minimum of 150 dives, with at least 25 dives and 50 hours experience diving the Type T CCR used in the course.
  • Have at least 10 logged CCR dives deeper than 30 meters.

PADI Tec100 CCR Diver Course

Diving to extremes – Learn to use a hypoxic trimix to a maximum of 100 meters and explore places few have seen before.

Prerequisites

  • Tec 60 CCR Diver on the specific Type T CCR to be used in the course
  • Have a minimum of 175 dives, with at least 50 dives and 100 hours of experience diving the same Type T CCR used in the course.At least 25 of these dives must be multiple stop decompression trimix dives deeper than 40 metres.
